West Wratting 3-2 Foxton
Foxton played away midweek with a game held at Newmarket, against high flyers West Wratting and came away with an unfortunate scoreline of 3-2.
Wratting set their stall out as they took an early lead, via the penalty spot.
Foxton equalised via debutant, Franck Mvogo Noah after Eliot had played him in down the left side. Wratting then retook the lead before half time with a ruthless breakaway goal.
The second half saw Foxton start to pile on a bit of pressure and they eventually got a deserved equaliser from the reliable Jez McMurrough, who nicely headed home Franck’s pin point cross.
Overall the game was very competitive and very even, but Wratting scored a winning goal on about 70 minutes, after catching Foxton napping. Foxton pushed hard but couldn’t get the goal they needed so ultimately went away pointless.
Although it wasn’t the result we wanted, it was a good effort however, showing much improvement against a strong side.
