Foxton 3-0 Comberton

After a couple of weeks without a game, Foxton were back in action, at home against Comberton.  It turned out to be a welcome return as they picked up a valuable 3 points with a 3-0 victory.

Foxton started on the front foot, taking an early lead when debutant, Kade Ivatt, scored from close range after the Comberton keeper could only parry Eliot’s shot.
Kade then scored his second, with an excellent finish from the right edge of the box after he had latched on to Jez’s through ball.  He then completed his hattrick minutes later, when he made the hosts pay by reacting to a short back pass before calmly scoring past the visiting keeper.
The second half started with Comberton pressing, but although they shaded the first 20 minutes, they failed to score.  A couple of goalmouth scrambles in the Foxton box could have gone either way, but fortunately for the home side, the back line were able to clear away from goal.
After weathering the early storm the game evened up, then steadily made its way to the final whistle.
A clean sheet and 3 points, happy days!
