Foxton 5-3 Cambridge City Res

Wednesday evening saw Foxton pick up a vital 3 points, in a high scoring, entertaining end-to-end game at home vs Cambridge City Res, which finished 5-3.

City had the better of the first half leading 3-2 at the break.  Foxton adjusted with a change of formation and some effective substitutions, resulting in a much stronger performance in the second period, as they managed to turn around the deficit with three unanswered goals.
Foxton’s Goals coming from a Kade Ivatt double, and individual efforts by; Eliot, Nicky Bell and skipper Jez McMurrough. Goals were assisted by; Ryan Lees with a pin point cross to Jez, Alex Brain x2, the first via a cut back to Kade, and then, his strike at goal was parried for Kade to tap home. Eliot’s corner was headed home from close range by Nick.
It was the perfect response to Saturday’s defeat and a deserved 3 points.
