St Neots Town Res 0-1 Foxton

Foxton made it three wins in a row on Saturday, with a 1-0 victory away to St Neots Reserves, in a game that truth be told, lacked much quality and fluidity.

After a goalless first half in which the home side probably shaded, as they were guilty of fluffing a couple of half chances that came their way, Foxton were happy to go in level.

Foxton started the second half on the front foot and they themselves could’ve take the lead, but failed to do so.

It seemed however a goal was coming, and it eventually came on about the hour mark when David McMurrough scored from close range from Roger’s ball into the six yard box, after Jez had picked him out following a surging run.

Following the goal, Foxton stayed largely on top, although it took a good double save from Luke in the last ten minutes to make sure that the visitors held on for the three points.
