Great Shelford 2-0 Foxton

Foxton crashed out of the Premier cup on Saturday after suffering a 2-0 defeat away to Great Shelford.

Shelford started the game very well and were dominant all over the park. They took a deserved lead on about 20 minutes with a well placed shot in the bottom left corner and soon doubled their lead with a shot that crept in the bottom left corner again.

It would be fair to say that Foxton failed to get together anything with much substance during the half.

HT 2-0
The second was a different affair with Foxton growing into the game, but ultimately without really threatening the Shelford Keeper. Itch blazed over and Mez hit the side netting.

Matty Chapman went closest after rounding the keeper and cutting inside his marker, but had his effort superbly cleared off the line.

As the game went on and with Foxton committing more bodies forward in search for a goal, it left Shelford with opportunities to further their lead, however, the score remained the same.
