Foxton 0-2 Fulbourn

Foxton crashed to their fourth defeat in a row with a home loss at the hands of Fulbourn, in albeit a good, competitive game.

Foxton started quite well and probably should’ve taken the lead early on, but debutant Sam Crack was unfortunate as he saw his shot saved by the keeper.

Foxton despite having the upper hand, fell behind against the run of play, when a Fulbourn player was allowed to turn in the box and curled in a shot into the far corner of the goal.

The half remained in the balance but it remained 1-0 at HT

The second half had a similar pattern to the first, with Foxton seemingly again on top, but again conceding against the run of play.

Both teams were playing some decent football with both sets of defenders holding firm.

Then into the last 15 minutes, and Foxton were unlucky not to score on a couple of occasions, with Ada and Ian Cambridge both hitting the cross bar.

Fulbourn were also guilty of missing some late opportunities as they broke forward on the counter attack.

The score remained 2-0 to the visitors, and next week, Foxton face current top of the league Linton, in what is sure to be yet another tough game.
