Great Shelford 2-0 Foxton

Foxton’s poor run continued on Saturday, with a 2-0 defeat away to Great Shelford. However, after a much more spirited display, Foxton can count themselves unlucky to come away with nothing after giving the home side a good battle all game.

Both Shelford goals coming at crucial times didn’t help and should really have been dealt with – but that seems to be the way at the moment, with any mistake leading to a goal.

Foxton however, stayed totally in the game right to the end, keeping the home side honest, but without really creating too many clear chances. Their main chance excellently saved by the Shelford Keeper from Kades shot from close range.

Both sides also hit the woodwork during the game.

A decent game for the neutral and both management teams were surely happy enough with their team’s efforts in a very close encounter.
