Over Sports 2-5 Foxton

Foxton were on the road again as they travelled to newly promoted and previously unbeaten, Over Sports.

Foxton started well, putting the home team firmly on the back foot and took a deserved early lead when Ada volleyed home from Scotty’s cross.

Over equalised almost immediately however, when a lapse in Foxton play allowed them the chance to get a shot away, with the Sports forward making no mistake with a decent finish.

Foxton regathered, and went on to create a couple more chances in the half but without any end product, so the scoreline remained 1-1 at HT.

The second half started much the same as the first, with Foxton well on top. They took the lead through a Liam Moir penalty, after he himself, was hauled down in the box.

It was soon 3-1, when Justin Leavers scored his first goal for the club after Eliot Keating had jinked past his man and played him in.

Leavers, who was proving a handful all game, was then fouled in the box and Foxton were awarded a second penalty which Liam again, calmly put away.

Foxton were now well in control and looked like scoring on every attack but some poor finishing meant otherwise.

The fifth goal came when Roger Skeggs got his first goal of the season, with his first touch of the season, after coming back from a bout of illness.

Over then got a consolation goal in the last few minutes to reduce the score line to 2-5.
