The Club

Foxton football club is one of the oldest and foremost clubs in the local area and has been running now for over 100 years with records of matches taking place in the very early 1900’s. Originally it was part of what was known as the Foxton and District League from which the Foster cup originated, until joining the Cambs FA league system shortly after its conception in 1920.

The Club has played at the village recreation ground now since the 1950’s and before that games took place on land provided by farmers within and around the village. The Rec is public land and its excellent surface is also enjoyed by Foxton kid’s football team ‘foxton dynamos’, the cricket club and for village community activities. Foxton FC was awarded ground of the year in 2003.
